The first assignment of semester 1 was the inspiration book. An assignment where I had to collect images, articles, fabrics and so on. Things that not only inspire me as a person, but especially as an fashion professional. To find the right inspiration you had to visit museums, cultural events, read books and magazine and photograph everything you saw that inspired you. The stuff you collected had to show a connection with the zeitgeist of today. In the end you had to create an attractive book with a personal and original vision of fashion and inspiration for fashion.

This project gave me the knowledge of new innovative ideas in fashion. There are so many great new developments happening in the fashion industry, I will show one on the next page. Furthermore the inspiration book creates a different way of looking at things. It is easier to get inspired within one’s own surrounding.
